COMMUNITY CENTRE
Bob Bowles, noted naturalist, will speak about
invasive species.

Local
talented photographers Nathan Beaulne and Kelly Roussy
will look back on their Nature 365 series for
2011. They will pick a few of their local favourite places and show the
photos
they took from there, such as Bear Creek, Minesing, Barrie's
waterfront, etc.

MARCH 16
Kathy Boles and her
husband spent 12 days in the African Savannah, camping with 8 other
volunteers
and every African wild animal you could imagine. Her story will educate
you
about the recent research the group conducted on the African Hyena and
their
interactions with local farmers and other wild animals. They conducted
wildlife
surveys on foot and from vehicles, not only looking for hyenas,
vultures and
insects, but also for their tracks, droppings, feeding sites, dens,
nests and
other signs. The trip was through a group called Earthwatch and is
available
for anyone to participate.

Enjoy
our usual Potluck supper. Not only do you the members
help provide a table full of interesting dishes, you can also
contribute items
for the silent auction, and show a few of your favourite photos.

you wish to show
some of your own slides or have any other questions. This is always an
enjoyable evening for all members so please plan to attend.
Bring
your own dishes & cutlery as well a
contribution to the supper as well as any items for the
auction.
